CLIENT INTERVIEW // TOLEDO, OHIO BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHER
SPOILER ALERT: One of my favorite lines ever is in this Client Interview.
Why are we so hard on ourselves as women? It never fails. The women who walk through my door have a hard time seeing past their perceived “imperfections”. It blows my mind how we can all be so no unhappy with ourselves but only see the beauty in others. I’m no exception. I love what this babe says about how she sees her body now, after her session. If I could just give that feeling to every woman, we’d be unstoppable!
I’m so excited to share these images today on the blog. Our very own Uma Thurman lookalike, but better IMO.
How old are you?
What do you do for a living?
What made you take the leap of faith and do a boudoir session?
Since I’ve had my son (3 years ago)- I just have not felt good about myself. My body went through so many changes and is so different than it was before. It’s been hard adjusting and feeling comfortable in my skin. I was a member of the LNS Facebook group and saw how good people felt about themselves after doing this and figured it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.
Did you have any obstacles or fears about the session?
My biggest fear was being so vulnerable. I have a hard time being naked in front of myself in the bathroom mirror let alone in front of two people I hardly know!
Did I provide enough pre-session info?
Yes. The places to shop information was perfect! It helped me so much. I was able to find cute, affordable outfits at LACE.
How did you like working with my team?
Loved it! Courtney did awesome on my hair and makeup! I felt so comfortable around both of you.
How did you like your hair + makeup?
Yaas! I need Courtney to do my hair and makeup everyday because it was amazing! My hair is so thin and fine- idk how she got so much volume but it was amazing!
Did you enjoy your session?
I had a lot of fun! It was very low stress and casual... which made it easy to be so vulnerable! Also the words of encouragement throughout made it even more fun!
Was the session different than you expected?
Very different. It was a lot easier than I expected! I loved getting so much direction on exactly how to pose.
What was your favorite part?
My favorite part was definitely the words of encouragement that I received throughout the session! Lindsay and Courtney made me feel amazing about myself! I didn’t feel like I was being judged one time, which was the best.
Did you like your images?
I love my images! Lindsay is so talented! I honestly can’t believe that’s me in some of them!! I know I have probably been one of the more difficult clients with my (probably unreasonable) requests to hide a tattoo, but she did a great job posing me in ways that it wasn’t visible and I’m extremely impressed with her skills!
How did you feel when you saw your images?
So many emotions… amazed, shocked, teary eyed... and a little sad that I have been so hard on myself the past few years. The person I’ve seen in the mirror the past few years has not been the person that’s in the photos... BUT I WAS WRONG. ITS REALLY ME. Those photos show ME... and it makes my heart so happy to see myself the way she captured me!
Would you ever do another session?
Can I come again tomorrow?
Will you tell your friends about this session?
I’ve had my digital photos less than 24 hours and have sent them to so many friends. I want to print them off and drop flyers around town, paint them on my car. I need the world to know how amazing this shoot was and how great you feel afterward!
Do you have any advice for women interested in booking a boudoir session?
DO IT. Don’t think too much about how “you’re not ready” or you think you need to work out more, or even about the money. It’s literally all worth it. I honestly think it’s even better if you don’t work out like crazy before and just go as you are. It’s amazing to see raw, honest photos of who you truly are.
Did anything change regarding the way you see yourself after the session?
Lindsay made me feel bangin’ hot. I literally feel so sexy and I can’t wait until I can tell my boyfriend and give him his gift.
Any final thoughts on your session or things you'd like me to know?
You’re amazing! Literally so talented and I’m so thankful you’re doing this not only for me but for other women. Thank you for letting me be involved in your business.
Did you fine my favorite line?? Leave your guess in the comments and I’ll tell you if you’re right. :)
